Murang’a University College (MRUC) was established under Universities Act 2012 Section 74. MRUC is the successor of Murang’a College of Technology. MRUC is positioning itself to develop a distinctive profile as a progressive and international Technical University, growing its enrolment strategically. The University College is located 1.5 km from Murang’a town, 85 km North East of Nairobi, 70 km South East of Nyeri and 50 km South West of Embu. Its location provides a serene environment conducive for learning.

The University College Council invites applications from suitably qualified person to provide leadership to the institution in the position of the Principal of the College.
VACANCY RE-ADVERTISEMENT: PRINCIPAL: Ref. MR.U.C/01/2013
The Principal of the University College shall be reporting to the Council, and shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the university college; the academic and administrative head of the University College; have the overall responsibility for the direction, organization, administration and programmes of the University College.
The Principal shall have such further responsibilities and duties as may be assigned by the University College Council.
The person appointed as Principal of the University College shall comply with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

As the Chief Executive Officer of the University College, the Principal will be the Academic, Research and Administrative head of the College working under the direction of the Council with the following duties and responsibilities;
Terms and conditions
The above post carry attractive remuneration package which includes basic salary, house allowance, and medical cover as per the University College’s medical scheme, leave allowance, official transport and gratuity at the end of the contract period as per University College provisions.
The salary entry point will depend on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
